Fall Break, Gone Girl, & Punkin Patch

Hey guys, I'm going to try to update more regularly now, not sure how that'll go down but again, I'll try.

Anyways, this past weekend was fall break plus, yesterday and today, October 20-21. It was pretty much a long weekend and that was good but that's two days off of Thanksgiving break. Whatever, it's whatever. I can't change the days.

I did enjoy fall break though.

On Friday, I went to my classes even though I was really debating skipping. I really just wanted to get the drive home over with. No, it isn't a long drive but still, it's lonely. I also really wanted to be home. It isn't like I think about missing home when I'm at school but when I'm actually home, it's nice.
Anyways, I got out of classes early because my teachers are awesome. Then I went on my way home. When I got home, I just chilled with my parents, we ate dinner, and then we watched The Big Libouski (not sure if that's how you spell it). I took a bath! Wahoo, love baths.

On Friday, my math teacher sent out a mass email to all of his students and said that all of the homework assignments were opened up just for fall break. So I'm not doing so good in Math so I was beyond excited when I read the email. Then I realized how much work I had to do. DAMN.

Saturday was just a chill day too. Didn't really do much. We went to eat with my grandparents Saturday night. I worked on Math a lot on Saturday.

Sunday, we went to church but had to leave early so we (my mom and I) could go eat lunch with family. We went to Huntsville, AL so we had an hour drive. After lunch, we drove back to where my parents live now in TN. Then, my mom went back to church while I worked on more math, boring.

Monday, yesterday, was my fun day!! :)
I got to see my best friend, Hannah. I drove to Huntsville for a doctors appointment (my last pediatric appointment, I'M SO OLD) and I picked her up on the way. We hung out from 9:15 AM to around 9:00 PM. It was a fun filled day, lol.
So after the doctor, we went to my favorite restaurant, Shaggy's. It's so goooood. After lunch, we decided we wanted to go see the movie Gone Girl so we bought tickets from our phones. We had time to spend so we went to the little out door mall by the movie theater. We shopped for a bit before going to our movie.
Gone Girl is probably the best movie I've seen in a while. Since TFIOS (the fault in our stars for those of you who didn't know what tfios meant ;D). It is such a mind fuck. So good! It was Hannah's second time seeing it.
After the movie, we went to another store, Kinnucan's, and Target before driving to meet one of our English teachers from last year. We ate dinner with her and gossiped, lol. Then after dinner, I took Hannah home before heading home myself.

Today, Tuesday, I made a hair appointment to get my hair ombred. I was super nervous before my appointment because I didn't know if it would look good and you can't go back after dying it. anyways, I went for it. I'd never gotten my hair dyed before so it was a bit weird. My hair is blonde already so you can imagine how light my tips are.

Anyways, my tips are SO blonde, so so blonde. It looks natural though. I really love my hair now. I wish I could do like a different color tips like lilac or something crazy just to see how it would look. Apparently, I can go by my hair place and they have dye that washes out in two weeks. May have to do something crazy to see what it feels like. Make people stop and turn.
So after three hours, we were done. My hair was dyed ombre, washed, blow dried, and he ends curled by the end. My hair is so long so it took a while. Hahaha, it looks so much longer when it's lighter. I want my hair dark brown to see what it would look like, idk though.
After my hair finished, my mom and I went to eat at a Hibachi grill, yummy. We stopped by a farm that has mazes and fun things for kids to do. They also had pumpkins so my mom took some fall pictures which are also on my instagram already. GO CHECK IT OUT. Then we went back home, watched Dallas Buyers Club (a very good movie, btw). I left when the movie ended.
I got back to my dorm around 8:00 because I lost an hour by driving here. Chattanooga is an hour ahead of home. I hung out with my roommate, Haleigh because no one else was home. Olivia, my other roommate's boyfriend surprised her here. He's on fall break.
I worked on more math but didn't finish. I pulled my homework up two letter grades though so that's good! I feel good about that. I had a lot of work to do.
We also we out to eat after I finished math. We always go out to eat together usually on Sundays but since we all got back today from Fall Break, we went today.

Now, I'm writing this, it's technically Wednesday. Thursday, tomorrow, I guess, Hannah is coming to Chatt until Sunday just to hang out. That will be so much fun! It's always exciting to see her. Good thing this week will be short!

Music Midtown & Jesse McCartney & 1D + pictures!!!

I know, I know. It's been a while since I updated. Sorry sorry. Anyways, I wanted to go over everything I missed and there's a lot!!!!

First, was music midtown:

I went to classes on Thursday, September 18 and got out around 12:05. I skipped my usual daily lunch with my roommates and went back to my dorm. I was already packed for the weekend so I got my stuff and set off for Birmingham, AL (my brother lives there). I stayed with him that night and on Friday (yes, I skipped my classes), we were off to Atlanta, GA (we meaning, me, my brother, and his girlfriend). The festival started an hour ahead of Birmingham time so we left to where we could get there in time for Iggy Azalea's concert which started at 7 or so an hour ahead.

We ate at Sweet Tomato's, a salad restaurant before heading to the hotel. We got a room and let all of our stuff there. Next, we headed to the Marta. For those of you who don't know what a Marta is, it's like an above ground subway. It's a Metro. It looks like this:

So we were at the Dunwoody stop and we were told to go all the way to the Five Points stop but everyone on the Marta was going to Music Midtown and they all took the Midtown stop (duh). So we did too. We stayed at the hotel Friday and Saturday night due to the fact that the concert ran late.

So my outfit for day one was:

My top is from Torrid, my headband is from Rue 21, my shoes are Vans, and my shorts came from Lane Bryant (I think). I also carried a backpack that is one of my roommates. I took this selfie with my brother and his gf which I posted on Instagram on October 13 because my brother turned 21! (happy birthday bro!):

So getting to the good stuff, the performances.

Referring to the first picture I posted of all of the acts at Music Midtown, we didn't get to see all of them, those were just who was performing. In order, on Friday, we saw Iggy Azalea, Lorde, and John Mayer. Sadly, I don't have a picture of John Mayer but I do have some of Iggy and Lorde.

Then, on Saturday (THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE), we saw, in order, Vic Mensa, B.o.B, Lana Del Ray, and Eminem. I have pictures of Lana somewhere but not on my computer so I can't post them! Boo, anyways, I have the others.

Eminem RAP GOD:

He was just... AMAZING. two hours of amazing. Eminem is like no one else. Trust me. If you get the chance to ever see him in concert, definitely do it. Take the opportunity. 

So my feelings about each artist:

Iggy- she put on a good show. She kind of pumped me up but we weren't as close as I wish we were. We couldn't really hear her over the booming bass. Either way, she was very good. I'm glad she didn't fall off the stage this concert because she was high up. LOL jk

Lorde- damn. damn. I love Lorde. Always have. My brother and his girlfriends didn't know many of her songs but my bitch ass knew every single one. I love love love Lorde. She was really good live. GO SEE HER

John Mayer- he was very chill. everyone was sitting down back where I was. We left an hour into his performance because he was there for two hours. He was good but we were tired. We left, ate, and went back to the hotel. 

Vic Mensa- I'd never heard of him before this concert but we were up next to his stage before B.o.B performed an hour after him so we wanted to be closer. He was pretty good. At first there was his DJ and I thought it was him. He was like remixing all of these popular songs and the whole crowd was like jumping, lol. Then Vic came out rapping. I didn't know it was him until the end. Hahaha, he was good though.

B.o.B- oh my god. B.o.B is like my favorite rapper right now and has been for a while and I wanted to go for him mostly. We were pretty close to the stage and we were packed in like sardines. It was hot but worth it. B.o.B is beyond amazing. He got the crowd hype. 

Lana Del Ray- I hate to say but she was kind of boring. After B.o.B, she kind of like killed my mood but she was a good singer. She seem to care more about photography and signing things for fans that putting on a good show. I don't know many of her songs so I didn't really enjoy hers. I'm glad I got to see her though!

Eminem- god, where to start. Eminem is just a legend as is and he was beyond amazing in concert. The whole crowd went crazy. He sang all of his popular songs and my brother knew like all the words to all of his songs. It was two hours and he brought back out B.o.B to sing Airplanes Part 2 and Roysta 5'9 (i doubt that's spelled right). Eminem was just awesome. 

After Eminem, we went to eat and back to the hotel. Saturday was a long day. 

So I came back to Chattanooga on Sunday and did nothing really for a while. THEN, this past week, on October 9, Jesse McCartney came to Chattanooga and put on a "free concert". It was actually three dollars but worth it. He sang three songs and was perfect. 

Jesse is so cute in concert too. Like major cute. Forreal. 

I ALSO SAW THE ONE DIRECTION MOVIE WHERE WE ARE OMFG, IT WAS PERFFFFFFFFFF PERRRRFFFFF PPPPPEEEEERRRFFFFFF. K, BYE

Okay, so I think that's the end of this major long post. I feel like it should be long though because I haven't posted in so long. I thought a long post was needed. This is probably the longest post I've ever done. Maybe not. The glee post from years ago was pretty long and pretty pointless. lol. 

THIS IS NOT POINTLESS.

Skipping, BITCHY COLLEGE STUDENTS, and the Weekend

So today I skipped my first class, how classy of me! Get it? HA HA. I'm so hilarious.
So I skipped one class for personal reasons but it was sociology and boring as hell.

So getting to the good stuff.

Yesterday, I was sitting in the living room to our dorm room and my roommate, Haleigh, was in her bedroom. So there was a knock at the door but when I opened the door, no one was there. So my other roommate, Olivia, got back to the room from classes and saw that there was a note left on our door that I hadn't noticed.
We read the note and it was from the girls in the room below us. The night before this, Monday, we were drinking in our room and dancing and jumping and making loud noises. So a complaint was okay. So we started reading their letter and it was rude as fuck saying that courtesy hours are 24/7 and saying to be aware. Like shut the fuck up.
Anyways, we were like... bitch. So we started stomping loudly on our floor, lololol. Next thing we know, 4 girls are standing at our door, knocking. Of course, Haleigh and Olivia were hiding and they made me answer the door. I was like, "Sorry, we got your letter but there were bugs". HAHA. They knew I was full of shit.
So they left and we were like, let's write a letter back. We wrote the most sarcastic letter ever. Saying that we're sorry that we have big feet and that they have big ears and that sound travels faster than light for them more than everyone else. Then we corrected them saying that courtesy hours were 10pm-7am. We ended it with "have a nice nice! Love yall!" lolol
So we go to their room, slide the note under the door, knock, and run like their bitch asses did. We hid in another friends room on the same floor though so we weren't in our room for a good 20 minutes after they got the letter. When we finally went back up into our room, we stayed in for a while, nothing happening.
Suddenly, we hear something at the door and we see shreds of our letter being pushed under the door. We also see one of the roommates staring at us through the peephole. It was scary as fuck, not gonna lie. They kept knocking because we pushed the note back out under the door. We didn't answer the door so they tried wiggling the door handle, trying to get it. Luckily, our door was locked.
So I was like, hell no, I'm calling our RA. So the girls leave while I'm on the phone with our RA and they told us that they'd be back. Their specific words, "Oh, don't worry, we'll be back!"
Our RA said that he was going to contact their RA and figure it out. Alex, our RA came to our room, asked what happened and since we still had the letter they wrote us, he took that with them as evidence. We didn't have our letter since it was ripped to shreds.
So like 30 minutes after Alex left our room, we hear another knock. It's two guys. We open the door and find out that that's their RA's. So we invite them in and one guy asks, "We just wanted to hear your side of the story."
Right when he finished saying this, before we could speak, we hear this loud banging noise. At first, I thought it was upstairs. No one was saying anything. Just looking around confused. So, it happens again and our floor is shaking so we know it's them. One of the RA's is like, "Was that them?!" and the other said, "Yeah, that's definitely them. They floor is shaking."
Remember, we haven't said anything yet. They turn, walk out our door and say, "Yeah, our residence are getting it!" Like they're getting in trouble.
So we don't hear from anyone for another 30 minutes until there's another knock. It's their RA's again. They went down to talk to them and found out that the banging was made by a friend that had come over. They said that the friend was a guy and was trying o be a badass so he started banging on the roof. There were no stool marks on the ceiling so we don't know what they used but it was something heavy like that. Anyways, the RA was like, "From what they say, you guys pushed it and intentionally stomped around. Either way, whether you did or not, just be courteous and think of others around you when you're up here. You're on south campus and every dorm, you're going to be able to hear everything going on so just be mindful of others." Then they left. Man, it was crazyyyy.
lololol, so that was a great college experience. I don't remember what the girls look like so when I walk around, I like watch what's going on around me. Haha, it's kind of scary. lol.
We aren't supposed to talk to them and they aren't supposed to talk to us. So that's great.

Anyways, changing the subject.
This weekend will be super fun.
My best friend, Hannah, is coming for the entire weekend.
She should get here around 1 pm (EST) and we'll just be chilling. I'm not sure exactly what we'll be doing but I know that there's parties and a football game on campus but we not be doing that. We are gonna go the the aquarium tomorrow though. The Chattanooga Aquarium is like the fucking best.
FORREAL.
I'm excited my roommates get to meet Hannah though. They'll all get along so great. I just know it. Well, I hope so.

Penguins, Home, Classes, and my RA

So today I'm just going to update you guys and just talk since I have nothing better to do! Isn't that the best way for a blog to be written though? From the heart without any layouts or planning? Yes. Well, I think so.

So I'm going to go over my day with you for those of you who care! :)

I had three classes today, joy.
I started at 9:25 in Cultural Anthropology and then went to English 10 minutes after that. I finished with those two classes around 11:50.
After class, I went to Crossroads (kind of like a buffet cafeteria type of thing for college students) with one of my roommates, Olivia, her twin sister and her sister's roommate! After lunch, I walked to my last class but had 40 minutes to blow so I literally sat in the lobby of the building my last class is in and listened to music. I was on Pinterest, Instagram, and SnapChat during that time now.
Finally, 1:40 came around and I went into my Intro to Sociology class which is boring as hell. I swear I nodded off four times in that one hour. God.
When Sociology ended, I walked slowly but surely back to my dorm room. One of my roommates was there, Haleigh. We talked about our personal lives and we got to know each other better. It was nice. Very nice. It was good to talk to someone.
Around 5:10, we left to go back to Crossroads to meet Connor, our other roommate, for dinner. Us three ate dinner together and then walked back to the dorm room together.

Since I got back, I've played on Club Penguin.

How you may ask? How and why have I been on club penguin?
WELL
I was laying on Haleigh's bed earlier and I saw a stuffed animal. I picked it up thinking it was a Webkinz. It wasn't but we got on that topic. I had 40 when I was younger. Yes, I know, 40 is crazy. I LOVED WEBKINZ, okay? OKAY?
So after dinner, I tried getting on my Webkin World thing and since it's been over a year since I've been on so it was acting weird. Also, it was taking forever to load. For some reason, I thought of Club Penguin and started playing that with one of my roommates! lol, I'm not playing anymore, for any of those wondering. It timed out because I was writing this.

I'm going home this weekend.
I know, change of subject and pace. Woah.
It's Labor Day weekend and my mothers birthday so I had planned since before college started to go home this weekend. I get Monday off so I'm staying a day longer!
On Sunday, my family is having a reunion type of thing so I'm seeing my moms side of the family. I'm excited for that! I need to pick out an outfit for that. lol. Then I think after that, my immediate family is going out to eat with my mom for her birthday. We're going to All State which is like a really good steak restaurant. Idk, maybe that's Monday. Haha. I think it's Sunday.
I don't know man, I'm just going with the flow this weekend. I'm happy to go home.
Very happy. I just feel calm at home.
I'm so tired at school.

Over the Weekend

I went home this weekend for the first time. I really enjoyed it. Really really enjoyed it. 

I didn't think that I'd really care to go home this weekend. It wasn't exactly planning and was a last minute decision. I haven't really been missing home so I thought going back this weekend would be no big deal. The moment I pulled into the driveway, I was just relaxed and relieved. I didn't really feel any different though, it was just like I'd been gone for a bit and came back, no biggy.

So Saturday, I hung out with my best friend who lives at home and I hung with her from noon to around 6:00 pm. I never really got to say goodbye to her before college. I had doubts, as usual, about us never talking about but now I realize that I was stupid. We're super close and our friendship isn't ending now! Yay! Anyways, Saturday was an overly great day. I love it.
When I dropped her off at home, we were laughing and when I drove off, I was just happy. It was a happy day. Then about 20 minutes later, she texted me saying that she had a wonderful day and to have a safe drive. It hit me that I had to go back to college without family and friends and I got a little sad. The text made me happy though.

Sunday, today, was good too. I woke up and my parents and I drove back to my dorms. My parents came to fix a few things with our TV in the living room to our dorm and my Xbox live. Of course, my dad being a tech guru fixed everything quickly. We went to Walmart and ate at McCalisters afterwards. Then I dropped them off at their car so they could go home. Driving off was the hard part. I realized that I was going back to my room alone and I got sad like I did after my friend texted me on Saturday.

Of course, I'm good now. I'm sitting here waiting of the MTV VMA's to come on. I'm super excited for performances and I'm going to skype with one of my friends while watching it! I'm also working on an essay that's due tomorrow. Yes, I've been procrastinating already. That's okay, I'll get it done before the VMA's come on.

Anyways, this post just kind of fills you in on my weekend and I guess I'm trying to say, spend as much time with your friends and family when you can because they may not always be around when you need them. Keep close with those you care deeply about and cherish the moments you have with others. I'm truly happy I went home this weekend and hung out with my parents and best friend! I smile and laugh thinking about everything that's happened in the past two days.

What I'm looking forward to:
Next weekend, Labor Day, I have a family reunion type gathering on Sunday and my mothers birthday is on Monday. I get to see my brother and his girlfriend. I won't get to see my friends next weekend but the weekend after this, Friday week, my best friend is visiting me at college.
She's going to come up, stay the weekend, meet my roomies, go to the aquarium, and walk around campus with me. It's going to be so much fun and I can't wait!

Turning a New Page

Hey guys, starting now, today, I'm going to start posting my college experience. I've been on Pinterest for the last like three hours and I've decided that I want to write about my college experience for the next 4 years.


What made you want to do this by Pinterest? You may ask...

WELL,
I have a college board on Pinterest and I repined a bunch of college studying tips. When you click on the picture, it'll take you to another website. Usually a blog of some sort. Anyways, I went onto a blog called Real College Student of Atlanta and I thought, DUH, I could do this!

BACKGROUND INFO ON MY SCHOOLING:

I graduated high school on May 21, 2014! Senator Nation! :)
I started college in Chattanooga on August 18, 2014 and moved into my dorm room on August 14.
I live with three other girls in apartment style dorms. My roommates names are Olivia, Haleigh, and Connor. They were picked at random so I didn't know them before I came here. Haleigh and Connor were friends prior to coming to college so they knew each other. Olivia and I were in the same boat.
I came from Huntsville, Alabama and I'm now in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
I'm majoring in Communications and minoring (hopefully) in English.
I want to be a journalist and work my way up to editor and publisher. I hope to own my own publishing company someday.
I also really really really want to be a professional author.
But seeing as how hard that career choice is and I love writing so much, I'll go with journalism!

The Fault In Our Stars

I watched the film and read the book.
Let me just say oh my god.

So I'm not going to ruin the story for you if you haven't seen the movie or read the book. I'm just going to say that you need to read the book first definitely. The book is amazing. Probably the best book I've read in a while. It was so funny and sad at the same time. Like I laughed out loud during most of it and cried so hard in the end.

And don't even get me started in the movie. I cried the last 40 minutes. I laughed so hard during the movie. It was glorious. You definitely need to see the movie whether you're going to read the book or not. BUT if you are going to read the book, read it before the movie.

That's all I can say about this movie and book because I could go on for an eternity. Haha, John Green, I bow down to you!

Just go see the movie and read the book! I love both and give them both a 100 star rating!

Creativity!!

So, I like to see myself as this VERY creative person. Each year for birthdays or Christmas, instead of buying a gift for someone, I usually make one! I mean, even today! There was a scholarship that I'm applying for and I made a poster board for it! This is what it looked like:

I know it's sideways, I can't help it! But that's how it looked. All for a project!

My project posters are the absolute best! In ninth grade, we had to make these posters for PreAP History and whoever had the best poster got to go to this museum and be in a showing thing. Well, I had to do my poster on Mardi Gras and I put a lei on top that was Mardi Gras colors and everything. Needless to say, I got to take my poster to the museum.

Also, in tenth grade, I had to do a Spanish poster. We had to make a city and put objects like buildings and bikes and stuff on it. We had to name everything in Spanish. Well, I made New York City, of course, where else would I make? I did a big park like Central Park with a walkway down the middle. I got all of these trees and put them in a circle in the middle with a space left out right through the middle (just to go into more detail). So, I got these bike stickers and put them through the path between the park and got small circular magnets to put on the cars. Then, I printed out very tiny picture of my friends and cut out their faces to the size of the magnets. I put their faces on the magnets so it looked like my friends and I were biking through Central Park. Then, around the edges of the board, I put a whole bunch of buildings like hotels, apartments, and office buildings like NYC! It was the best freaking poster board ever. If I still have it, I'll take a picture and put it in this post later. I think we threw it out though.

Anyways, since I probably boring you, I'll cut this off!

So, here's an outfit of the day from a couple weeks ago. I made the collage the same day I wore this but I just haven't gotten around to posting it!

So this is my profile picture on Facebook. I wanted to post more than one "selfie" so I decided on four!

This picture was taken by my best friend at my lake house and I just love the branch and the water behind me. This is also a profile picture on either my Instagram or Twitter. One or the other, I can't remember.

So this is my old profile picture from Facebook. I love my fishtail braid in this. The night I took this selfie was on my brothers 20 birthday! We were going out to dinner and I was wearing a dress.

This is my least favorite out of the four just because I like the others A LOT. I don't think this one is bad though, obviously because I chose it to go on my blog! lol. I just wanted a recent selfie. This one is from last weekend and I took it in my room at the lake house around... midnight. I think. I was bored and playing around on Photobooth.

Divergent

So, I saw the movie last night with my family.

I never read the books but I was overly excited to watch the movie. Of course, usually the books are better to read over the movies but I just wasn't in the mood to read it.

Anyways, I love Shailene Woodley! She is one of my favorite actresses. I watched her for literally 5 years in The Secret Life of The American Teenager. I never saw The Spectacular Now but I really need to see it! The main boy character that is in The Spectacular Now with her is also in Divergent. Also, the President from Scandal is Shailene's father in Divergent. Also, she'll be in The Fault in Our Stars which I'm super excited to see! The book was so amazing. She will be Hazel.

The main boy character in Divergent is SO CUTE! UGH!

Overall, I want to go to the movies again and watch Divergent all over again. It was a really good movie. Very intense! My emotions were on a roller coaster throughout the whole movie.

So, I'm writing a new book! It's obviously a fan fiction if you read the cover page. I am super excited to write this book because I feel like this is closer to my generation with the show Catfish and everything like that. I'm 18, so yes, I watch that show. (:
