Procrastination 101

Every student knows the ins and outs of procrastination. Before you even know what the term means, you do it without even noticing. Why? Because fuck work.

For instance, I'm procrastinating right now. I can list you at least 10 things I could be doing right now, but instead, I'm writing this blog post on a topic I'm currently participating in. LOL #life

Anyway, you want to know what to do while procrastinating? Well you've come to the right place because I am a professional procrastinator.

1. Watch Netflix
Gossip Girl, 90210, How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, Parenthood, Top Gear, Breaking Bad, movies, documentaries, and a shit ton more under this category that help you pass the time bye when you're supposed to write that 8 page research paper by midnight and you've only written one sentence.
Hulu and TV also count under this!

2. Go on an Adventure
Go hiking, to a waterfall, drive around, eating, or just explore around town/campus. This is a great way to get exercise in or hang out with friends!
I'll include exercising in here too! If you aren't doing homework, you might as well work out!

3. Crafts
This one I have a MAJOR connection with. I do this all the time. Like yesterday, I waited to do homework until 10 pm because I just didn't feel like it. I watched Netflix all day, but I also painted! I love painting, crafting, planning, and all sorts of creative shit! It passes time and makes for cute decoration.

4. Social Media
At the library, in my room, study rooms, restaurants, whenever! When in doubt, social media is always a go to. Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat, Twitter, Facebook, Vine, Tumblr, and many more! Social Media ruins today's society because no one focuses on what's going on around them. People only want to go on adventures and do things to see how many views it'll get on snapchat and likes on instagram and retweets on twitter. It has become out every day lives, every second to please those on social media. But for some reason, I LOVE it. Just as everyone else does. I love being able to keep in contact with those who don't live near me anymore. It's a big thing! Obviously blogging too (me rn).

5. Food
Food is always amazing. Of course, everyone needs to eat so why not do it in the procrastination period? Food is love, food is life

6. Music
Listen to music. Shit, listen to music when you aren't procrastinating! Music is the best thing that's ever been invented. It's the best thing ever. Want to discover new music? Listen to Alessia Cara. She's so amazing.

7. Sleep
Take a nap, but make sure to set an alarm! Say you have a paper due in the morning before your 8am class. It's 4 pm and you don't want to start your paper. Take a nap, but set a 2 or 3 hour alarm because you don't want to be stuck staying up all night to write it. Because let's be serious, I know you guys haven't written a single sentence of that paper even though it's the night before. Which is okay. You just need to give yourself enough time to sleep and finish the paper!

8. Games
I can't tell you how much I love playing Kim Kardashian Hollywood. I'm not ashamed either. I fucking love the Kardashian's. So of course, the second I got an iphone, I downloaded it and started playing. Now, I'm proud to say I'm a B list celebrity. Lol I'm lame
Anyway, playing a game for a bit on your phone, Xbox, Nintendo, PlayStation, computer, etc is a great way to pass the time before, after, or during studying! Again, I'd set alarm so you don't lose track of time and actually finish your work!

9. Party
Go to a frat party, friends house, whatever. Let lose. Have fun. Too much studying can drive someone INSANE. Trust me, I know first hand. So go have fun. But don't get too drunk and be safe!

There are a million other ways to procrastinate, but these are my top ones.

No, I'm not telling you to procrastinate, I'm just saying we all do it so why not help you figure out what to do when you don't want to do your work.

I will say, don't waste too much time. Get your shit done. Don't procrastinate so long you can't finish your homework in time. A good thing I've found is to do one assignment, then scroll through social media, do another assignment, write a blog post, do another, watch an episode on Netflix or a YouTube video. Give yourself a break in between assignment, but just made sure to actually accomplish what you need to do.

I hope you enjoyed my procrastination post and that it helped. I mean, for all I care, lay on your bed staring at the ceiling for an hour thinking about puppies (I may have done this before). Procrastination is just something that comes along with school. For those of you who "don't procrastinate" OH OKAY sure think pal.

Do your work.
Have an A1 day bitchachos!

Back At It

So Spring semester has started once again. It's weird to think this is my fourth semester of college. Surprising enough, I'm still in Chattanooga. Thank god.

Despite failing a class, I've been doing pretty good lately. Actually, I've been pretty wonderful, if I must say. I'm retaking the class I failed and happy to say my roommate and a couple other friends are in the class with me so we can form a big study group. I'm excited about it.

I've stopped taking all of my medicine. I went cold turkey on everything except my birth control (for obvious reasons). I had to start taking my acid reflux medicine again though. My acid reflux got really bad a couple nights there so I decided to go back on it. I'm not on anxiety/depression medicine or ADHD medicine though. The ADHD meds weren't helping so I just stopped taking them and my anxiety/depression medicine needed to be refilled so I just decided to see what would happen if I stopped taking them. Nothing has happened.

I think I was just in a really bad place last year from a bunch of shit happening at one time. But this year, I'm in a great place. I have better, more trusting friends, an amazing boyfriend, I'm adjusting to the way school works, and I think my mindset is just better overall. Wow, that sentence has no parallelism, lol see school/studying mindset

But I'm proud of myself for not needing my medicine. I don't really feel any different so I have to wonder if it was working in the first place. Either way, I didn't want to become dependent on it or anything so I'm glad I'm not taking it anymore.

As for the ADHD medicine, I have a doctors appointment in a couple of weeks to see what kind of ADHD I have and what kind of medicine I need. My mom wants to come with me to my appointment which I think is pointless, but whatever she wants to do. The last place I went for my ADHD, bitches overcharged us big time for no damn reason. $2800 for what??? Sitting there and talking to me and not giving me medicine that helped? Like no, so we aren't going back. FUCK THAT

Anyway, I just wanted to catch you guys up on my life currently. Tomorrow I have a date day. We're going to breakfast, the shooting range, and to an ice skating rink! It should be super fun and I'm looking forward to seeing bae!

Thanks for reading,
have an A1 day!
